This song and video "If I Had a Son, He'd Look Like Trayvon," were inspired by the tragic events of February 2012, when an innocent, unarmed African-American teenager was killed by a neighborhood watch captain who profiled him because of his race and clothing. The title comes from President Obama's comment about the killing, and Obama's voice and words are incorporated into the song and video. Viewers have called it "moving" and "powerful."

The song is in the tradition of Bruce Springsteen's "American Skin (41 Shots)" and Bob Dylan's "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll"-- memorable music inspired by the events of our time.

Sample: "My Life 2.0"
My Life 2.0" is a modern pop-rock tale of two would-be lovers who "meet" at a virtual show-- or do they? The song was inspired by true life stories of couples who have met at online concerts. Is this the wave of the future? And what is an avatar, really?

Sample: "Another Sunny Day in Paradise"
"Another Sunny Day in Paradise" captures the beat and melody of a perfect summer day, when everything goes right and nothing can go wrong-- with a catchy tune that will have you humming all day, featuring Don's crystalline vocals, Stef Burns on lead guitar (from Huey Lewis and the News), Curtis Ohlson on bass (from the Booker T. band), Peter Michael Escovedo on percussion, Marc Russo and Mick Gillette from the Yellowjackets on sax and trombone, and Tony Lindsay on harmonies (lead singer with Santana). What a killer band!
